And the day finally arrived. The day we truly felt the same excitement as we did in 2019. The day when the Red Bull Batalla was packed with fans who’d travelled from all corners of Spain. The day finally arrived when we could once again put together the best possible line-up for our favourite music event.
As was to be expected, the National Final of Red Bull Batalla in Spain was bound to make a significant impact. The last Grand Final on anyone’s memory was in 2019, at the RCDE, where Red Bull Batalla attracted more than 25,000 attendees to its flagship event of the year. This year, following two fateful years of the pandemic, we travelled to southern Spain, to a magical venue (Marenostrum in Fuengirola), for a production on a grand scale.
We sold out a venue frequented by artists such as Marc Anthony, Rosalía, Raúl Alejandro and others. And we did so in the middle of a summer packed with events, where our main objective was to ‘get back to 2019’.
As you might expect, we teamed up with Eduardo Valverde for the stage lighting and video design. We set up the best possible sound system – the d&B GSL – which delivered unrivalled sound quality, whilst NATIVO created visual content for us to project onto the more than 200m² of LED screens we installed on stage. We’re back – yes, we are – and we’re raring to go.
