Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos 2020 International Final

Having completed the entire Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos National Finals tour, producing the Cypher remotely in each country, we had no idea what was in store for us. Our partner and fellow battler, NEP BROADCAST – responsible for the live broadcast of all Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos events, and our long-standing partner of several years, commissioned our production services to stage the International Final in the Dominican Republic, where NEP, as well as handling the live stream, was acting as the event’s executive producer for this edition.

So off we went – this time, no remote work involved – to cross the pond and stage the craziest event we’ve ever organised to date at a film studio (Pinewood Dominican Republic). NEP Netherlands developed a fully-fledged Augmented Reality (AR) event, where the challenge was no longer just the lack of an audience, but also the fact that the participants would be in a 100% green screen environment, offering viewers an entire virtual world that left the more than 15 million people who watched the event live absolutely speechless.

25 days of hard work, with an international team of professionals who did what they do best to pull off this event – “The Event” – in 2020.
