As part of the activation plan we developed for Red Bull Spain for the Spain Sail Grand Prix | Andalucía – Cádiz, which took place in Cádiz over the weekend of 24 and 25 September, we at Babblá devised a plan known as ‘After Sailing’.
This could only happen in a unique setting such as the Baluarte de Candelaria, built on a jutting promontory in 1672 with the aim of protecting the natural entrance to the port of Cádiz. A defensive bastion for the city, it occupies a strategic position between the San Felipe bastion and the fortifications near La Caleta, and represented a major improvement in the defence of the western front. In the late 19th century, restoration work was carried out to adapt the building for its current cultural use, notably as a venue for exhibitions and musical events.
Our task was to set up a terrace, which was themed around Red Bull Organics, and to install a giant screen where attendees could watch the regattas in real time.
We have also handled the technical production of this area, featuring live music and DJs, which serves as a meeting point for attendees and the technical team after the races.
